Krishna Zivraj-Nair is an Indian classical dancer, choreographer and founder of Sanskruti School of Dance. Trained in the Pandanallur style of Bharatanatyam, Krishna started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of eight. Nevertheless, her liaison with the stage started when she was four years old while dancing to Indian folk and Bollywood music. She has been trained in Bharatanatyam for eleven years under the guidance of Guru Smt. Padma Murali, director of Padmalaya Dance Academy in Bangalore, India. Post her arangetram in 1994, Krishna continued giving performances with her Guru in India until she left the country for higher education. Today, Krishna continues to give performances and train dance enthusiasts in Bharatanatyam and contemporary dancing. With a baggage of performances in many countries around the globe, Krishna humbly offers Sanskruti School of Dance to the Cambridge community.
